(IBTC) INTERNATIONAL BOATBUILDING TRAINING COLLEGE

Practical Boatbuilding
47+ weeks, leading to an IBTC Diploma and City and Guilds 2451 levels 2/ 3.
Furniture and Woodworking:
35+ weeks, leading to an IBTC Diploma. 

Practical Yacht and Small Boat Survey:
4-5 weeks (split over two months).  Leading to an IBTC Diploma and ultimately to YDSA Affiliate Membership. 

Woodworking Skills: *
12 weeks Building your own oil stone box, bench hook, tool box, grating, bollow plane and  oar. Learning hand tools skills and tool care, this course is the foundation of our boatbuilding and furniture courses.

Small Boatbuilding: *
12 Weeks, leading to an IBTC Certificate
Glass Reinforced Plastics: *
4 days. 
Knots & Splicing: *
2 days. 
Basic Boat Plumbing and Electrics: *
2 Days. 
Lofting: *
3-4 days or more (This depends on the complexity of the craft to be lofted). 
Caulking: *
1 day. 

All courses marked ‘*’ are included in the Practical Boatbuilding course.
